woyww - metal mania

Trying out a technique called "clear embossing & wax" the results is a lovely metal finish on cardstock.
A close up of the atc's backgrounds.

I stamped an image with versamark, sprinkled clear embossing powder and then used the heat gun.  When cool lightly rub gilding wax over the embossed image.  I used antique gold and silver "rub & Buff" which gives a dull metal look rather than a bright gold.
One of the completed ATC's.  Join in on Julia's world of WOYWW.

  23. These are stunning, Sandra. I haven't seen that technique before, must give it a try.
You asked about how long the cling backgrounds take to dry. When it's so cold I leave them over night but for you they'll be dry in an hour probably. If you can leave them to dry naturally you get a much better finish. Hope that helps.

I have just had the last of my order come from Clarity with the very tiny stamps for doing ATC's. such a minuscule conifer for one. No wonder I had to have them. xx Maggie #37
